Getting over content writer’s block

No matter how well you know your topic, trying to write something on a daily basis can become a little difficult and sometimes you might find yourself with that all famous ‘writer’s block’.

First thing first, although you need to publish every day in order to get the real benefits of content, that doesn’t mean you have to write every day so when you’re full of ideas, write lots.  Even if you don’t have the time, keep a separate Word document or notebook to jot down ideas for when you find yourself a little lacking in time or ideas.

Another thing you can try is to just start writing.  Once you start writing, even if it seems a little nonsensical at first you can usually look back and pick out something interesting to develop an article from.

You should also subscribe to a few relevant RSS feeds.  Although you should never just copy or re-write content from another site, their articles might give you some ideas of your own or you might be able to develop their idea a little further and link back to their article.

Remember the golden rule: you’re not here to write adverts, so write naturally but remember to tailor it for SEO purposes so that your keywords are included without being spammy.
