Adding regular content to your website can be very time consuming, and when you’re running your own business, finding time to update your website isn’t easy. If you do find the time, chances are it will be irregular and you’ll end up writing a few pages in one go, and not being able to do it again for a while. This is where spacing out your content comes in.
As far as Google is concerned, a website that gets updated daily is more likely to get indexed more often than a website that has several updates one day, then nothing for weeks. So you’re much better off having one article every two days on your website than adding ten articles all at the same time.
Luckily, using blogging software like WordPress, this doesn’t have to mean you’re sat at your computer writing a post every day. You can write several posts at once and use the schedule facility to publish them at future dates. This means you can have your website updated with content at weekends and holidays, such as New Year’s Day (today) without actually spending your holiday working.
Content exists to make your business work smarter, bringing you more traffic and customers without the need to work harder.
